Senior members of the Knesset management paid an official visit to Rwanda on Thursday for a series of meetings. The Knesset delegation was welcomed by the Speaker of the Rwandan Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies, Donatile Mukabalisa, who took part in a conference of African heads of parliament which was held at the Knesset in late 2017.
 
Speaker Mukabalisa asked the Knesset delegation to extend her gratitude to Speaker of the Knesset MK Yuli-Yoel Edelstein for the continued cooperation between the Knesset and the Rwandan legislature, and expressed hope that she would visit Jerusalem again soon.
 
Earlier this week, members of the Knesset delegation met with their counterparts in the Ugandan parliament. The meetings in the Ugandan and Rwandan parliaments were aimed at expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest and exploring the possibility of initiating joint projects related to issues such as transparency, public relations, and the use of advanced technologies.
