Knesset Secretary Meller-Horowitz heads delegation to 63rd session of the UN's Commission on the Status of Women

Knesset Secretary Yardena Meller-Horowitz addresses the conference

Knesset Secretary Yardena Meller-Horowitz is heading the Knesset's delegation to the 63rd session of the United Nation's Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), which is being held in New York.

 

On the sidelines of the conference, members of the Knesset delegation have taken part in various events organized by different countries and civil society organizations, and explained about the Knesset's work to promote the status of women and gender equality.

 

Throughout the conference, Knesset Secretary Meller-Horowitz discussed various laws passed by the Knesset to protect women and teenage girls, such as the law against sexual harassment and the law which raised the marriageable age.

 

During the day dedicated to the Inter-Parliamentary Union's deliberations on gender budgeting, Meller-Horowitz mentioned the activity of the Knesset Committee on the Status of Women and Gender Equality and the monitoring of the implementation of the Government's decision on gender budgeting.
